Hilda is a 1 year old terrier cross that has come into our care after being rescued from terrible living conditions and is now looking for a permanent home she can call her own.

Hilda’s ideal home would be that where she is the only pet and any children in the household are of age 8 and above.

She is a lively little girl with lots of playful energy. She is very people oriented, enjoying human company and interaction. Whatever you are doing, Hilda likes to be included! Due to this, her owner will initially need to be at home the majority of each day, with leaving hours being introduced slowly once she is settled.

Unfortunately, Hilda has lacked early socialisation, so sometimes she can become overwhelmed when out and about. Her new owner will need to be patient and prepared to continue working on her training and socialisation at a pace that Hilda is comfortable with. Likewise with her housetraining.

Although Hilda is not suited to live with another dog, once she is settled in her new home, she has the potential to enjoy social lead walks with similar sized, respectful dogs if introduced sensibly and gently. She walks well on a lead and enjoys a quiet walk with lots of opportunities to take in the sniffs.

Hilda will be an amazing companion to whoever feels they can give her the time, and consistency she requires all wrapped up in a loving home.
