Demi is a handsome Romanian boy with a very sweet character, looking for a special home where he can truly thrive.
Rescued in June 2021 along with two other dogs, from the streets in Romania, Demi has come a long way but still needs a bit of extra love and patience. Due to his background, Demi struggles to trust new people, so he requires an owner who understands the importance of a gradual introduction process.

We’ll take things at his pace, which means multiple meetings with any potential adopters to ensure he feels comfortable and safe. Demi is best suited to a semi-rural environment, away from the hustle and bustle of a built up area. He would thrive in an adult-only, quiet and calm home where he is the only pet in the household. Demi requires a home with a safe and secure garden with boundaries of 6ft in height. Demi walks well on a harness and lead, making outings enjoyable.

He has successfully completed a muzzle training program, allowing him to explore confidently and safely. Once Demi bonds with you, he shows an incredible affectionate side. He has the potential to be a loyal and devoted companion for the right person. This was recently concreted when a regular volunteer who visits Demi, at the sanctuary, offered to have him in her home, on a temporary foster basis. We jumped at the opportunity as, to our knowledge, Demi had not encountered a home environment ever before. Demi certainly proved himself as the most amazing dog, we knew he was during his time in foster.

Our volunteer described him as “the most perfect house guest” and said his time with her, in her home “exceeded every exception I had of him as he took to being in a home like a duck to water, he was literally no trouble at all, and was an absolute pleasure to have around. And everything else was really manageable with a bit of forethought.”

If you have a calm, understanding home and are ready to invest time in building a trusting relationship, Demi would love to meet you and start his journey to a happy forever home.

Please fill in our Dog Adoption Form if you can offer Demi a home.
