Geese-

Foods for weekly consumption-

  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower Leaves

Treats to give geese-

  • Broccoli
  • Cucumbers
  • Corn
  • Peas
  • Kale
  • Lettuce – romaine lettuce is the most nutritious. Iceberg lettuce holds no nutrients for the geese and should not be given with regularity. It can cause scours (diarrhea).
  • Sliced Apples – no seeds or cores.
  • Pumpkin – chopped.
  • Grapes – chopped.
  • Watermelon
  • Berries – raspberry, blackberry, black raspberry, strawberries, and blueberries.
  • Cantaloupe
  • Bananas

Ducks-

Food ducks can eat-

  • Critters! – fresh or dried, they seem to especially love slugs but also love earthworms, grubs, mealworms & crickets.
  • Live fish – As a TREAT guppies or minnows.
  • Cooked brown rice.
  • Cooked Porridge/Oats.
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Plain yogurt
  • Fruit & berries – watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, strawberries, pears, peaches, banana. (MUST be cut up small)
  • Vegetables – peas, corn, cucumber, tomatoes, zucchini, leafy greens.
