We received a call one morning from a Norwich vets, asking PACT to take in an abandoned chihuahua who had been found in a local park at night in a washing basket with a puppy who was only a few hours old.Luckily she was found when she was still in labour, but sadly she was unable to deliver the second puppy naturally. The vet performed an emergency c-section to try and save the puppy, but it was unsuccessful. Willow (mum) recovered well from her surgery and spent time at one of our farm managers homes as she needed somewhere quiet and calm to raise her puppy (Walter). Willow is an amazing mum and is growing in strength every day. She was quite underweight when she came to us but is slowly putting weight on and looking much healthier.Willow & Walter now have a forever home with one of our cattery staff who will be training Walter to be our very own PACT Henry Hallam therapy dog.
08/08/2020 Pupdate: Wonderful Walter is already 4 months old. He loves exploring and has recently been on a boat, jumped in a fort and discovered the ocean with his friends. Walter has just started classes with Viv from Walkies Dog Behaviour & Training and continues to grow in confidence. Willow has also settled in and is now at a healthy weight.
